VIPTeach is pleased to announce the selection of the 2021-2022 Cohort of Fellows. They began meeting at the end of September and will work together to create a community of teachers that shares educational experiences and training with their cohort mentors. Several Fellows from the first cohort have returned as mentors for this academic year.

The Global Online Teaching Fellowship aims to attract diverse education sector talent through a selective, unique part-time online fellowship. The Global Online Teaching Fellowship aspires to build a pipeline of tech-savvy and culturally competent education professionals prepared to leverage technology in a way that provides all students with the quality education they need to succeed.
Through the online learning model, VIPTeach aims to use this prestigious, first-of-its-kind online teaching fellowship to increase accessibility where there are critical teaching shortages..
VIPTeach empowers educators with technology and professional learning to drive innovation and equity in education. VIPTeach gives education leaders support, skills, and opportunities to shape the future of teaching and learning.
During the program, Fellows gain practical online instructional experience by teaching through a United Way program called Vello, which serves those who would not otherwise have access to tutoring and learning partners. Throughout the online teaching experience, Fellows are supported by professional learning opportunities that include collaborative learning and mentoring among peers in the U.S. and abroad through the professional learning community (PLC) model, as well as a virtual workshop and guest speaker series utilizing the expertise of the VIPTeach community and its partners.
